Facebook is changing

Facebook tests new news feed

Facebook is trialling a new news feed. With a focus on peer-to-peer engagement, this change means that posts from pages will appear outside of the main news feed which is reserved for personal accounts. This, in turn, would be a nightmare for marketers and businesses looking to drive engagement through Facebook and who wish to create customer value with high-quality online content. Only posts in the form of paid for ads will appear in the main news feed: news which has sparked instant debate.

When will we see it go live?

At the moment, this change is only being tested in a handful of countries, and Facebook has downplayed the possibility of this going global; but who knows, we could see it being implemented on a far bigger scale sooner rather than later.

How do you like to engage with pages on Facebook? Comment below, I’d love to know.
